CODY JOHNSON TOP 3 MOST-ADDED AT COUNTRY RADIO TODAY WITH REFLECTIVE SINGLE “DEAR RODEO”

COJO Music / Warner Music Nashville recording artist Cody Johnson has always remained authentic to the heart of country music, and his brand new single “Dear Rodeo” is no exception (LISTEN HERE). Top 3 most-added at country radio today, the reflective song serves as Johnson’s ode to his previous bull-riding career and has already surpassed 30 million streams to date.

Johnson described the deeply personal track as his “love letter to the sport of rodeo” while performing the song at RODEOHOUSTON in 2018, confessing: “When you leave something like that behind, even though this is as good as it is, you still wonder sometimes” (WATCH HERE). The Texas native sold out the rodeo for two consecutive years, with over 74,177 in attendance last year.

Co-written by Johnson and Dan Couch, “Dear Rodeo” is off his major-label debut album Ain’t Nothin’ To It, which debuted at No.1 on both the Billboard Top Country Albums chart and their all-genre Digital Albums chart. The record also features Johnson’s Platinum-certified debut single “On My Way To You,” which has more than 180 million streams and gave Johnson his first Top 10 at country radio. Written by Brett James and Tony Lane, the song was named as one of ASCAP’s “Most Performed Songs of 2019.”

With over one billion career streams, Johnson continues to establish himself as an upcoming country star. With ACM and CMA new artist nominations to his name, he sold out 45+ headlining shows in 2019 alone and joined Miranda Lambert’s Wildcard Tour at the top of 2020. He has received critical praise from outlets such as The New York Times, Associated Press, Billboard and more, with Rolling Stone stating that he “finds himself rapidly hurtling toward mainstream stardom with a unique concept in his arsenal: actual country music.”
