Cody Johnson Releases New Single “The Fall”

Bob Oermann’s review in MusicRow Magazine said of the song, “Philosophical, moody and super compelling. ‘The ride was worth the fall/The fall was worth the smile/Smiles were worth the tears…Life is worth the fall.’ A superb song in the throat of a master stylist. Essential.”
“The Fall” is the second single off the Leather Deluxe Edition album, following the monstrous ACM nominated, two-week #1 hit “I’m Gonna Love You” with Carrie Underwood which became Cody’s 4th #1 song. Additional new music from Cody includes his brand-new duet with CeCe Winans, “Come Jesus Come,” available now at all major streaming platforms. The collaboration bridges the worlds of gospel and country, blending CeCe’s unmatched vocal purity with Cody’s earthy, heartfelt delivery.
Cody has seven nominations for the upcoming 60th Academy of Country Music Awards- Entertainer of the Year, Male Artist of the Year, Song of the Year (“Dirt Cheap”), Single of the Year (“Dirt Cheap”), Music Event of the Year (“I’m Gonna Love You” with Carrie Underwood) and two nominations in the Visual Media category for “Dirt Cheap” and “I’m Gonna Love You.” The May 8th show will be hosted by Reba McEntire and returns exclusively on Prime Video live from Ford Center at The Star in Frisco, TX, airing 8 p.m. EDT / 7 p.m. CDT / 5 p.m. PDT.
