Cody Johnson Premieres “Human” Music Video with CMT

The official music video for COJO Music/Warner Music Nashville multi-platinum selling recording artist Cody Johnson’s “Human” was released today with a broadcast premiere on CMT, CMT Music and ViacomCBS Times Square billboards.  The “Human” video was directed by Dustin Haney, who also shot Cody’s “’Til You Can’t” music video that won at this year’s CMT Music Awards as Male Video of the Year. “Human has been the most biographical song I feel like I’ve recorded so far,” shared Cody. “Having said that, this video is a very candid look into my life behind the scenes and the journey to strike a balance. My favorite memory of the shoot was being on my horse, Booger, while filming in the river bottom. He worked really well down there and gave us some great footage. There are few feelings better than that.”

On Friday night, Cody will perform “Human” on the 2022 “CMT Artists Of The Year.” Cody is being recognized, along with a few of his peers, by collectively dominating the last 12 months in country music, leading across all CMT platforms, scoring chart-topping albums and singles, and performing music that entertains and inspires millions of fans. The 2022 “CMT Artists Of The Year” premieres Friday, October 14th at 9p/8c.

“Human,” written by Tony Lane and Travis Meadow, is the second single Cody’s 18-song Human The Double Album.

The song was triumphed by Bob Oermann in MusicRow Magazine, “I didn’t think it was possible to follow a perfect performance like “Til You Can’t”, but this (“Human”) stunning meditation on frailty and mistakes is just as breathtaking. This man is dusted with the glitter of superstardom.” Billboard praised it as a “gut-punch, heart-on-your-sleeve vulnerability” and People Magazine said the song is “a vulnerable ballad about mistakes and forgiveness.”
